| | The Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) is a statutory authority responsible for the overseas tourism marketing of Vanuatu. The board of the VTO is seeking to appoint a general manager to oversee the operation of the office and coordinate the destination marketing of the country. The position will be offered on a contract basis. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Responsible for day to day management of the office and reports to the board |
| | 2) Development of office staff including performance review and appraisal |
| | 3) Liaison with the ministry of tourism, trade and economic management |
| | 4) Financial management of the office and budget preparation |
| | 5) Liaison with the tourism sector in relation to overseas destination marketing activities |
| | Co-ordination of marketing activities. |
| | Interested applicant must have the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - University degree or equivalent academic qualification in business administration, economic, finance and law; Ten years experience in the tourism sector at a management level |
| | - Fifteen years experience in marketing in the tourism sector and co-ordination of international marketing activities |
| | - Computer literacy and good communication skills; Formal qualification or training in tourism and/or marketing; Strong leadership skills. |
