| | The office of the Malvaturnauri National Council of Chiefs wishes to recruit a competent individual to the position of a National Kastom Lands Officer. The successful candidate will have the following roles and responsibilities: |
| | (1) Work with the Malvatumauri to establish the National Kastom Lands Office for the longer term Mama Graon (Vanuatu Land Program) |
| | (2) Develop a pilot program for linking Malvatumauri with 1 Province, 1 Island Council of Chiefs and its Area Councils of Chiefs (ACC) to test the proposed Focal Point Network (FPN) approach |
| | (3) Where appropriate, assist in the establishment of Area Councils of Chiefs (ACC) |
| | (4) Assist the Focal Points at Island and Area level by providing information, policies and advice from National level that assist in equitable land dealings |
| | (5) Establish mechanisms by which information is provided back to Malvatumauri at Provincial and National levels |
| | (6) In particular, with advice from appropriate experts develop questionnaires to (a) obtain details of ACC membership and profile and (b) draw out information on the local Kastom from each Area Council. |

| | - Preferably with tertiary qualifications and preferably in management and with a focus on land issues; Good computer skills; A good communicator in written and spoken, bislama and english; Will take advice |
| | and adapt quickly; Srong believer in upholding kastom values; Someone who can work with minimum supervision |
| | - A strong background in land issues and a dedication to the vision of the malvatumauri; Someone who has self confidence with strong leadership skills and comfortable with working for malvatumauri and with |
| | the chiefs at different levels; Someone who is able to travel to the islands are required. |
