The Vanuatu Society for People with Disabilities (VSDP) is looking for an early childhood or primary school teacher to help us improve the outcomes for clients in our Early Intervention program. The Early Intervention (EI) program helps children with disabilities and their parents/carers. The classes include activities to promote communication, movement, social and practical life skill development. The recently expanded program runs from Monday to Thursday, at four different community centres around Port Vila. Many children who attend EI classes will transition to school. Therefore, we are looking to enhance the EI class structure and content to include school readiness skills, while ensuring our program continues to focus on client goals and developing communication, movement, social and practical life skills. With support of a project officer and EI team, the successful applicant will review our current program so it aligns with national early childhood education policies and other national documents on education. Contract length is 12 months.
