The Ombudsman urgently invites applications for the Public Service post No.0983 for an Assistant Investigator. The position requires a suitable person who is willing to work on a temporary basis for a period of at least six (6) months prior to regularization of the post. Please contact the principal Corporate Services Officer at the Office of the

Ombudsman on telephone number 27200 or come and visit the office on the top floor of Pilioko Building in town if you require a more detailed job description.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Manage with the assistance and supervision of the Principal Investigator or Director Leadership a portfolio of complaints (including reviewing all cases in the portfolio at least once per month)

2) Receive complaints

3) Carryout investigations

4) Write reports and other case documents

5) Contact mediation between parties

6) Assist with public awareness meetings

7) Prepare and give media releases and interviews after publication of an Ombudsman report.
