  GENERAL MANAGER
  
  Duties and Responsibilities
  •	Ensures that the Ifira Ports & Services operates as a company serving  its purposes efficiently to maximize profits at the least possible expenses.
  •	Formulate objectives and goals of the Company.
  •	Formulate a Staff Manual and Draw up Policy Guidelines to archive objectives  and goals set by the company.
  •	Formulate a Standard, Procedures Manual and an Occupational Health &  Safety Guidelines Manual. 
  •	Set the Occupational Health and Safety Committees to implement this Safety  Guidelines Manual.
  •	Coordinate the activities of each section of the Organization to operate as  one single unit to achieve its goals.
  •	Formulate Daily or Weekly reports on the activities of the company.
  •	Produces reports in line with the Stevedore Concession to ensure the company  abides to Contractual Agreements.
  •	Report to the Chairman & BOD of IPDS.
  
  
Selection Criteria:
Qualifications
  •	Possess a  Degree in Engineering or equivalent , preferably Mechanical  from a recognized University / institute 
  •	Must have at least 10 years' experience in Container Terminal  Management.
  •	Must possess a background in Customer Services with excellent skills in  communicating with Customers, Employer and Employees.
  •	Possesses a valid Heavy Duty Driver's License.
  •	Read, Write and understand Bislama, English and French are advantages.
  •	Possesses skills in Computer Literacy.
