Criteria:
Required Knowledge,
Skills and Experience:
Applicants will need to be based in Port Vila and will need to demonstrate that they have the following business development experience, tourism industry knowledge, skills and experience.
- At least 7 years’ work experience, with
demonstrated experience working with Vanuatu-based businesses or
programs/events in the Vanuatu tourism sector showing strong familiarity
with the tourism product offering in the tourism sector
- A practical and supportive approach with high
level mentoring skills that is appropriate to Vanuatu and its Melanesian
culture
- Must have appropriate local business licence
or working permit to be contracted locally
- Excellent communication skills, in both
written and oral English, with a fluency in Bislama being an advantage
- Practical experience working with industry
stakeholders in the private, public, community and civil society sectors
- A practical, hands-on approach to solving
problems with a demonstrated track record of successful delivery in
similar projects
- Ability to work effectively under time
pressure with high capacity to produce quality work.
