The Disability Promotion & Advocacy Association
(DPA) is a national umbrella body for Disabled People's Organizations (DPOs) in
Vanuatu. It is led and managed by persons with disabilities in the country. The
main purpose of the DPA Vanuatu is to advocate for the rights and promote the
abilities of persons with disabilities.
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team based in Luganville
Santo, Sanma Province. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall
management of the “Capacity Building for Monitoring the Implementation of the
CRPD” project, a two-year project which purpose is to produce a CRPD shadow
report.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and direction of the project in accordance with the project documentation, DPA standards and relevant disability policies and strategies endorsed by the Government of Vanuatu
- Coordinates Activities, funding disbursements and reporting
- Produce Shadow Report on the implementation of the CRPD.
Criteria:
- This position is open to Vanuatu Nationals only
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field and or at least 2 years’ experience
in the Disability sector
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to challenges, to be flexible, and
resilient as well as to work effectively in a small, diverse and busy team
environment
- Demonstrated high level organizational skills and the ability to manage
multiple tasks, competing priorities and complete assignments within time
frames and budgets
- Project and team management experience
