| | The Reserve Bank of Vanuatu invites applications from interested Ni-Vanuatu candidates for the position of Banking Officer. The Reserve Bank is an equal opportunity employer. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Reports directly to the Manager of Banking in the Department of Accounts & Customer Services |
| | 2) Demonstrate ability to supervise and understand duties of teller liaise with currency unit and understand movement of currencies |
| | 3) Undertake reconciliation of customers accounts and know how to spot discrepancies |
| | 4) Supervision of voucher postings on a daily basis with accuracy, particularly customer account transactions |
| | 5) Ensure minimal disruption to day’s transactions from other internal offices and departments in terms of continuity and work flow |
| | 6) Understand and supervise the clearing house process, effect customers’ settlement accounts. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Strong background in financial accounting and management; Good understanding of currency features and numismatics; A bachelor degree in banking & finance or accounting or related discipline; |
| | Good customer service skills; Excellent written and oral communication skills |
| | - Demonstrated with ability to manage difficult clients and capacity to work in a team are all critical qualities that candidate must possess; Be fluent in both written and spoken english and have a |
| | good knowledge of french. |
