Organisation Description:
The Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF) was established under the Vanuatu National Provident Fund Act [CAP. 189] to provide security for workers during their working life and into retirement.
Job Desctiption:
The Fund is seeking to recruit a senior professional with suitable  qualifications and experiences for the position of the Deputy General Manager.    This is a senior executive position reporting directly to the General  Manager of the Fund and when required, may report to the VNPF Board of Trustees  as and when needed.
  Do you have a passion for entrepreneurship and leadership with excellent skills  and abilities to make financial and investment decisions and strategies?   The Board is seeking a professional like you with a mindset and desire to  contribute to the economic development of the Fund, with strong leadership and  excellent financial management skills, sound technical ability to produce  investment and business models and provide valuable advice to the General  Manager of VNPF that promotes, protects and maximize the Fund's retirement  benefits for its members.
  
  This is a demanding and technical position and the incumbent will have the  responsibility to assist the General Manager in developing strategies to advance  VNPF's vision, mission, and overall objectives to promote all corporate  services, support the business operations of the Fund, including but not limited  to developing emerging business and investment opportunities through well  researched and developed qualitative and quantitative analytical processes to  improve business opportunities and potential avenues for increasing financial  returns for the Fund.

  •	Demonstrated excellent financial and investment qualifications and  experience;
  •	Conversant with monitoring, assessing, and analyzing investment and  marketing activities, trends, and situations;
  •	Demonstrated skills in staff training and development;
  •	Have strong negotiation skills with high integrity and proven skills in  building relationships;
  •	Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and  problem-solving skills;
  •	Personal drive and inspiration to enhance the role of developing and  empowering an effective Fund's division and its functions;
  •	High level of confidence with an understanding of internal and external  market activities;
  •	Appreciation of business control routines and precision to detail;
  •	Ability to document work and influence others both internally and  externally;
  •	High Interpersonal & effective communication skills; and
  •	Ability to work under pressure with high-standard outputs.
  
  KEY OUTCOMES:
  •	Development of the investment, finance, and contribution divisions of the  Fund;
  •	Provide regular analytical reports to executive management;
  •	Undertake financial and investment analysis and make recommendations on  emerging investment market opportunities;
  •	Strategize, review, and approve divisional work plans, programs, and budgets  in consultation with the Managers within the division;
  •	Oversee planning and conduct of research, training, and development; and
  •	Develop and maintain effective business networks, partnerships, and contacts  with financial professionals, fund managers, investors, and entrepreneurs.
  
  QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 
  •	The desired candidate should have a Master's Degree or higher from a  recognized tertiary institution preferably in one or more of the following  disciplines; Finance, Accounting, Investment, Business Administration/Commerce,  Economics, or other related disciplines.  
  •	The candidate must have preferably more than 5 - 10 years of extensive,  practical experience in Executive Management roles with a Superannuation Fund,  similar institution, and/or recognized organization.
  •	All interested applicants must ensure that they comply with the Fit &  Proper criteria set out in the regulatory requirements of the Reserve Bank of  Vanuatu (RBV).

• An attractive salary commensurate with qualifications, experience, and abilities would be negotiated with the successful candidate.
