Organisation Description:
The Espiritu is a small boutique hotel located in the center of Luganville town on the island of Santo. Managed by two brothers for the last 10 years, The Espiritu have grown to become one of the busiest and most preferred accommodation properties for tourists, corporate travelers and locals.
Job Desctiption:
The successful applicant must have several years' experience as a  Hotel/Resort General Manager and a thorough knowledge management systems  particularly in: 
  OPERATIONS Manage all departments, control operational costs, organizing the  continuous cycle of moving aspects, from guests to maintenance, to events to  budgets and scheduling. The candidate must be extremely organised. 
  BUSINESS STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT, ANALYSIS AND EXECUTION Maximise profitability,  market share and customer satisfaction by staying current with industry trends;  monitor the competition and explore new business opportunities.
  REVENUE MANAGEMENT Control labour and capital expenses. Ensuring daily sale  revenues are reconciled and to follow up on any discrepancies promptly. Monthly  creditor and debtors' payments to be followed up in a timely and efficient  manner. 
  MARKETING & SALES Define and implement rate strategies and marketing plans  based on market research to increase visibility and occupancy at the Hotel.  Promoting the hotel's Food & Beverage and Car Rental services domestically  and abroad through various marketing channels online and offline.
  RESERVATIONS & GUEST RELATIONS Ensure positive customer experiences by  maintaining high-quality facilities and remedying problems quickly. 
  HUMAN RESOURCES Train, supervise, motivate, discipline and monitor the  performance of all employees in accordance with the Vanuatu Employment Act and  the company policy. Ensure all employees are appropriately trained and  performing to standard. 
  REPORTS 2 Generate a weekly report focusing on sales, expenses and employee  performances. You will have a weekly meeting with the owners to be briefed on  this report as well as providing a general summary of the past week's  operation. 
  
  
Selection Criteria:
 - Minimum 3 years' experience as a Hotel/Resort GM or in a similar  role
  - Proficient with computer skills, Point of Sale and Reservation PMS systems
  - Must be proficient in writing & speaking English
  - Proficient with accounting software systems
  - Previous experience with liaising with Travel Agents, Wholesalers and  Influencers
  - Previous experience living and working in the South Pacific a plus
