Telecom Vanuatu Limited is seeking for a Senior Tradesman to be based in Port
Vila.
Mission
The job holder is responsible to assist in all civil
works associated with fiber installation, testing, operation and maintenance up
to customer premises by meeting the customer satisfaction and laid down quality
standards.
Activities:
- Carry
out fiber pulling, hauling and installation as directed by the Officer in
charge
- Carry
out all civil related to the installation of fiber on TVL network
- Responsible
to lead a group of 3-5 in the installation of fiber on TVL network
- Perform
test ,operate and assist in, the installation of TVL products and services as
per technical and safety specifications and procedures
- Carry
out, or assist in maintenance schedules / tests and corrective action as
required to ensure reliability and quality of service
- To
perform tasks as assigned by the Line Plant Technician or higher officer
- Practice
Customer Care Principles at all times to achieve customer satisfaction
- Promote
a positive / good image of TVL at all times and assist the Company in achieving
its vision and mission
- Perform
field surveys and generate reports to assist in network planning &
implementation and network expansion up to customer premises
- Take
appropriate action on alarms, events and reports and work orders received from
the superior in charge
- Provide
training for skill transfer and staff capacity upgrade to fellow colleagues as
may be requested
by higher management
- Assist
Line Plant and other department Staff to ensure proper running of customer
equipment (Fiber optic, ATB, ONT) etc
- Carry
out any other infrastructure tasks and other cognate duties that may be assigned
by TVL personnel in authority
- Adhere
to safety regulations on all occasions.
