Reporting to the Country Program Manager and based in
Port Vila, this role is designed to support Ni-Vanuatu girls and young women to
lift their voices and engagement on issues affecting their lives. Through the
establishment of forums for in and out of school girls, this initiative is
designed to provide a safe space for girls to learn about their rights and gain
information on issues that are important to them and protection mechanisms that
exist to support them. The ideal candidate will be passionate about girls’
rights, be a strong community facilitator and communicator and have the
capacity to build productive relationships with relevant stakeholders to
maximise program results and linkages with existing initiatives.

rights and their leadershipExperience working with children from diverse backgrounds Knowledge of children’s rights and organisations working with children and
young peopleStrong community mobilisation and facilitation skillsPrevious experience in programme management and implementationProven capacity to develop relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
including communities, donors, government, CSOs and INGOsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of local context and the provincial systemAbility to communicate in Bislama and English.
