| | The Vanuatu Agriculture College Council Wishes to recruit an experienced and qualified person to the position of horticulture farm hand for the Vanuatu Agriculture College. This is a full-time permanent position with a 6-months probationary period. Queries about this position should be referred to our Finance and Administration Manager on the email mentioned |
| | below enclosed with your CV, 2 reference, educational attainments and certificates attached. Late applications will not be considered. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Maintain the nursery shed, horticulture fields and the VAC farm |
| | 2) Manage and engage the trainers in all crop husbandry practices both for learning experience and income generation |
| | 3) Assist the farm manager with the procurement and logistics for obtaining materials and equipment for the farm |
| | 4) Prepare land using machinery or otherwise to for field practical training. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - 5 years experience in horticulture and farming; Demonstrated communication skills with langauge ability in english, bislama and french (optional) |
| | - A high commitment to agriculture development and education of youth with a commensurate level of energy and enthusiasm; Be phisically fit and have the abilty and willingness to travel within Vanuatu |
| | - Possesses a year 12 certificate with many years of farming or an equivalent diploma or degree in agriculture or agribusiness. |

| | The salary will be commensurate with experience, competence and qualifications. |
