Vanuatu Copra & Cocoa Exporters Ltd (VCCE) is the Vanuatu's largest exporter of copra and cocoa, purchasing from farmers over the provinces of TORBA, SANMA, PENAMA and MALAMPA.
VCCE has been operating for over 22 years, whereby our head office is based in Santo, branches in Malekula and Port Vila with over 10 sub-branches in outer islands, bringing service closer to rural farmers. VCCE also imports and sells cement through its operations throughout Vanuatu.
Briefly Describe this Specific Job
VCCE Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrician to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity for a qualified expert who is passionate about maintaining reliable electrical infrastructure and backup power systems.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and system malfunctions.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
• Test electrical systems and components using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and repair requirements as needed.
Selection Criteria
• Relevant trade qualification or Electrical License/Certification.
• At least 5 years of electrical maintenance experience, ideally in commercial, industrial or utility setting.
• Proven experience as an Electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
