1 x HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC / ELECTRICIAN
Selection Criteria:
The position requires a self motivated person possessing the following skills and qualifications:
• 10 years experience as a heavy equipment electrician
• Must be able to work odd hour, under pressure, efficient and trustworthy
• Read and interpret drawing and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting switch boxes, lighting fixtures and other electrical equipment components
• Estimate electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current voltage and resistance
• Maintain, repair, install and test switchgears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generator, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and devices
• Conduct preventing maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Experience in a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) would be a distinct advantage.
