| | Job Description: |
| | The Vanuatu meteorological and geo-hazard department (VGMD) and national disaster |
| | Management office (NDMO) have secured funding from the World Bank for two large-scale |
| | National adaptation and disaster risk reduction projects designed to address of Vanuatu‘s |
| | Immediate climate change adaptation needs and mitigate natural disaster risks. |

| | The finance manager and Procurement Adviser will work with the PMU/VMGD in the |
| | Implementation of these two projects with the respective implementing agencies. The procurement |
| | and Finance Management Adviser will be contracted to ensure that appropriate procurement |
| | Planning and implementation, financial control and reporting are met during the course of the |
| | projects, and to build capacity of the PMU for financial management and procurement. |

| | The Finance Manager and Procurement Adviser will be contracted for 2 years renewable, and be |
| | based in the VMGD project management unit. |

| | Criteria: |
| | • University graduate in accounting or financial administration/managemnet; |
| | • CPA or equivalent; |
| | • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior management position ,covering financl. |
| | • Management and procurement activities, preferably in developing countries; |
| | • Familiar and experienced with World Bank finance systems and procedures; and |
| | • Proven ability to mentor and train staff in all aspects of financial management and procrement. |
| | • Familiar with World Bank procurement systems and procedures; |
| | • Experience in the Pacific Region; and |
| | • French, English, Bislama. |
