. 10 years experience as a heavy equipment electrician
. Must be able to work odd hours, under pressure, efficient and trustworthy
. Read and interpret drawing and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
. Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical equipment components
. Estimate electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current voltage and resistance
. Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generator, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
. Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and devices
. Conduct preventing maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
. Experience in  a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) would be a distinct advantage.

Will travel to Santo and other islands
Will sketch buildings on a property and identify the components such as living space or porch areas
Will complete a site sketch to position the buildings to the boundaries, other buildings
Upload the site sketches to our platform to allow remote drafters to complete the detailed drawings
Provide instructions for the drafter to complete the cad drawings through a systemized workflow process

Job Desctiption:

CENTER MANAGER (LOAN OFFICERS)
Recruits, trains and works with women who run their own small businesses. Having good endurance, he/she drives every day to different villages throughout Efate to implement our program by conducting group meetings which runs up to 1 hour. He/She is articulate and comfortable speaking to large groups of women. He/She is respectful by displaying the ability and willingness to get along well with women of various social classes and educational abilities.

MAIN DUTIES OF CENTER MANAGER:
1. Recruit and train new client members
2. Prepare loan applications and make loan assessments for small businesses
3. Collect weekly repayments
4. Maintain good loan portfolio quality and control.

DRIVER
Drives the different field teams for their daily duties. Drivers are responsible for transporting officers in a timely manner. Arrive at destinations on schedule and fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups and drop offs.  Follow the prescribed routes most convenient for timely pick ups and drop offs and also to inspect, operate and maintain the vehicle and its cleanliness.

 

Selection Criteria:

CENTER MANAGER
Must possess a valid driver's license
At least year 12 with 2 years of work experience in a community, commercial banking or banking organization with demonstrated success and progress well regarded
Social work experience would be well regarded
Experience with women's groups and committees also well regarded
Ability to relate to and promote the social mission of SPBD whilst enforcing and complying     with commercial disciplines
Applicants with Certificate or Diploma in Business or Accounting is preferred.
Fluent in both Bislama and English

DRIVER
Must possess a valid driver's license
At least year 12
Social work experience would be well regarded
Fluent in both Bislama and English

Purpose of the Society  
Founded in 1982, Vanuatu Red Cross Society (VRCS) is a major stakeholder in the humanitarian system. The Society is recognized by the Government as auxiliary to the public authorities in the humanitarian field in accordance with the provisions of the First Geneva Convention. The organization is also one member of the National Disaster Committee.
VRCS has identified Disaster Management and Disaster Preparedness as one of its main areas of intervention with a particular focus on community based disaster preparedness. It also implements a Health Program, whose main components are First Aid and Hygiene Promotion. The organization also encourages Youth participation and promotes the International Humanitarian Law.
VRCS has branches in 6 different provinces and numerous sub-branches. It can also rely on a solid network of trained volunteers all over the country. Around 21 staffs are currently working at HQ in Efate, while around 14 are working in the other islands

 

Job Desctiption:

To drive staff and goods and to conduct errands as required.  The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of VRCS vehicles.  In addition, the driver ensures all legal obligations relating to the vehicles are met.  

 

Selection Criteria:

Applicants are required to demonstrate the following:

Current driver's license with clean driving record
• Willing to travel as required
• Good time management skills
• Fit enough to carry out the above tasks, as set out in the Job Description
• Excellent eye sight
• Integrity
• Able to work both as part of a team and with minimal supervision
• Prior experience as a driver, including driving trucks
• Ability to maintain vehicles
• Knowledge and experience in small motor vehicle repairs
• Problem solving skills
• Fluent in Bislama and English.  Some French would be advantageous
• Knowledge of the Red Cross Movement
