Job Description
Specific duties of the Branch Officer
Must be able to do planning and reporting with the branch board, build strong government relations at the provincial level, Able to recruit and manage volunteers, must provide good support to the Branch governance while at the same time be effective in branch management, Help to organise local fundraising, property and stock management, train approved volunteer in Disaster risk reduction (DRR) and preparedness, able to produce reports after a disaster when it occurs at  Malampa  province, organise local and technical activities at low cost no cost for First Aid, Hygiene Promotion and Dissemination training including youth activities in the provinces.

Qualifications and personal qualities required
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to work well under pressure
• Well organised
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Honest / works with integrity
• Completed secondary school year 10 or higher
• Current driver’s licence with clean driving record
• Valid, clean police check
Knowledge & skills required
• Experience in managing projects/programmes, including working within budgets and managing finances
• Problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bislama
• Strong computer skills (Word and Excel/Database)
• Knowledge of the Red Cross movement will be an advantage
• All Vanuatu Red Cross staff must agree to and sign the Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct as well as providing a current police clearance. This is a condition of employment
