The Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) is seeking to recruit a Ni Vanuatu citizen for the position of Senior Business Analyst & Communication Officer.

The Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce & Industry is looking for a Senior Business Analyst & Communication Officer for its Employers Trade Promotion Advocacy Unit to assist employers and entrepreneurs in Vanuatu. The Employers Trade Promotion Advocacy Unit scope is to provide broad support in advocacy, economic, business, trade and labour analysis position proposals, and information source systems, to meet the employers and entrepreneurs’ needs and interests. The suitable candidate will represent employers, entrepreneurs, business associations, and local businesses, in all economic, business, trade and labour related issues, particularly the Vanuatu Employers Organisation (VEO) and National Tripartite Labor Advisory Council (TLAC). The job position includes also coordinating and managing program development, communication, information development, information network and dissemination, as well as trade and promotion activities of VCCI.

Job Requirements:
The person will carry out tasks in advocacy, developing economic, business, trade and labour related position proposals, information source systems, program development, and communication including administrative tasks, developing and coordinating programs and information source systems, and delivering services to employers, entrepreneurs and interest groups. The person will also carry out tasks in trade and promotion.

Criteria:
Key requirements:
  • Have at least 5 up to 10 years’ experience in a business environment
  • A degree in economics, law, business administration or similar discipline
  • A degree in social sciences including a research component would be an advantage
  • Experience advocating at the local, national, regional and/or international level and developing position proposals for the private sector development and empowerment
  • Experience coordinating and managing information source systems including communication with media, website and social media tools
  • Experience in program and project development, management and implementation
  • High level representation experience with Government Departments and funding agencies
  • High level of economic, business, trade and labour analysis skills
  • High level of communication and marketing skills
  • Have good leadership, team work, and problem solving skills
  • Fluent in English and Bislama in speaking, writing and comprehension
  • Fluency in French would be an advantage
  • Driving License
  • Availability to travel.
