Vanuatu Copra & Cocoa Exporters Ltd (VCCE) is the country's largest exporter of copra and cocoa in Vanuatu, purchasing from farmers over the Northern provinces of TORBA, SANMA and MALAMPA.
Operating for over 15 years, the company now has one head office in Santo, branches in Malekula and Gaua, bringing service closer to rural farmers. VCCE also imports and sells cement through its operations in the Northern provinces.
Job Desctiption:
• Manage all facets of the operations in branch locations and out-port stations. This includes
Export of copra and cocoa / Import of Cement, jute bags and other equipment/materials.
Equipment spare-parts and other materials ordering.
Staff Issues.
• To manage stock and weight (moisture) control for all products from purchase to export.
• Liaise with farmers, agents, 3rd party copra / cocoa suppliers for regular supply of product to the company.
• Interact with customers on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction is high and gain useful feedback.
• Be prompt in supplying information in regards to our competitors approach to the market and identify opportunities useful to the company.
• Resolve customer, employee and company issues as needed.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback to the General Manager.
• Recognizing employee achievements and encourage safety and excellence in the work environment.
• Make recommendations to the General Manager for possible improvements for work and customer conditions.
• Continuously liaise and consult with the General Manager on all business decisions required.
• Complying with company policies.
Selection Criteria:
Understand the copra / cocoa industry.
Have exposure to export / import shipping interns of processes and documentation.
Be able to improve operational efficiencies and recommend cost saving initiatives.
Can lead and manage a team.
Salary:
Based on Experience (TBC)
