Job Description: To manage the implementation of the government-wide Right to Information (RTI) policy and strategy. Responsibilities: Coordinate RTI implementation across government Promote cross-agency participation in Right to Information implementation Manage development of relevant RTI procedures and associated guidelines and training, e.g. responding to requests for information, providing advice and assistance, complaints procedure Liaise with Vanuatu Archives and other information management authorities to ensure the development of a corporate records management strategy that is robust enough to support RTI requirements Provide regular detailed RTI implementation reports to the Government Chief Information Officer and the RTI Steering Committee Provide RTI policy advice on areas of common concern for public bodies Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Government Chief Information Officer and the RTI Steering Committee.

Criteria: Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Law, Public Administration or related field Five years’ experience working on issues relating to good governance and transparency issues either in a public or private institution Must have experience in policy development and implementation, with capacity to administer the RTI policy and legislation Planning, monitoring and evaluation skills Research and report writing skills, Computer literate and able to use internet Analytical, practical and creative thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people Must be fluent in English or French and Bislama.

Salary:

2,187,360 VUV (per annum)
