| | The Ombudsman urgently invites applications for the Public Service post No.0983 for an Assistant Investigator. The position requires a suitable person who is willing to work on a temporary basis for a period of at least six (6) months prior to regularization of the post. | | Duties and Responsibilities: |
| | 1) Manage with the assistance and supervision of the Principal Investigator or Director Leadership a portfolio of complaints (including reviewing all cases in the portfolio at least once per month) |
| | 2) Receive complaints |
| | 3) Carryout investigations |
| | 4) Write reports and other case documents |
| | 5) Contact mediation between parties |
| | 6) Assist with public awareness meetings |
| | 7) Prepare and give media releases and interviews after publication of an Ombudsman report. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Experience in an investigative office; Computer literate; Demonstrated ability to write letters and reports; Demonstrated ability to research applicable laws; Completion of year 12 and university |
| | - Good command of english and/or french and bislama; Must be of good character. |

| | VT 811, 440 per annum |
